SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provides patients with a skilled phlebotomy experience, both physically and emotionally. Responsible to divert patients to the proper area of the building for their care after the phlebotomy was performed based on patient appointment schedule or unexpected needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 

Six (6) months of clinical experience required. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. 

Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, specification and schedules. 

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Glucose and pediatric collection experience preferred. 

Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred. 

General computer skills preferred. BLS preferred.
