Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner for our Atlantic Urgent Care in Clark, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
As permitted by training, experience and credentialing perform minor procedures such as suturing of lacerations; incision and drainage; removal of foreign bodies; debridement and packing of wounds; removal of sutures; staples and change dressings; apply and remove splints, immobilizers.
Administer medications.
Obtain detailed and accurate history, perform an appropriate physical examination; identify problems, document in the EMR; determine and implement therapeutic plans; provide patient/family counseling and education; referral of patients to appropriate provider.
Communicate/collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team in written and verbal forms.
Act as a resource for the Nursing Team.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
BSN required
Master's Degree required
License/Certifications:
BLS required
ACLS required
Valid New Jersey Nursing License (RN and CRNP) required
Relevant Experience:
5+ years of Acute Care Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred
