Program Lead/Community Organizer
Job SummaryProvide day-to-day oversight, including administration, implementation, communication and strategy of the program. Organizes programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Implements and manages changes and interventions to ensure program goals and initiatives are achieved. The community organizer will be responsible for uniting people to work together to solve structural, systemic issues and social problems that impact large groups of people or populations. In the case of GCSOM the relationship between community organizing and the medical student degree program lies in the objective of having students understand the historical, structural and systemic issues that are “the causes of the causes” for many of the health issues found
