The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and directing the Accounting Staff related to all activities and to ensure the accurate and timely completion of month end close.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff to ensure accurance and compliance of company policies and procedures
Ensures the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year end close
Responsible for the timely distribution of all monthly financial information
Reviews general ledger postings and reconciliations for accuracy
Streamline processes and initiate corrective action when necessary
Responsible for reviewing staff submissions and document preparation for audit requests
Reivew contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with revenue standards; participate in draft contract review to identify potential revenue recognition issues
Generation of revenue reporting
If direct report positions are listed below, the following responsibilities will be performed in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Bachelorâ��s degree in Accounting for Finance required
Five to Seven years prior management experience directing day to day operations of the accounting department
Budgeting and forecasting experience
Stonger understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Previous experience in Public Accounting
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
