Senior Auditor is a staff level position established to assist management in identifying, analyzing and managing audits and risks. Supports audit manager with audits of Conifer operational and corporate areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
Coordination of SOC1 and SOC2 audits.
Directing and conducting work in the field and in the office, with or without direct supervision, to accomplish audit objectives identified during risk analyses while demonstrating flexibility in responding to changes in assignments and job responsibilities.
Making practical recommendations for process improvements while ensuring that recommendations reflect an understanding of the business and are clearly presented to and agreed to by management
Directing and conducting audit follow-up activities
Preparing audit programs for review by manager and evaluating results and findings upon completion of audit.
Learning, promoting and upholding the Companyï¿½s policies and procedures
Communicating results of audit projects to management and operations personnel directly involved with department projects.
Adhering to the departmentï¿½s quality assurance process for planning, analysis, and documentation and reporting on all audit projects
Staying abreast of best practices and providing a means for introducing those practices to the organizationï¿½s business units and processes

Knowledge of internal and external auditing standards and practices, including the audits of Information Technology functions
Experience in reviewing the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information/systems and the means used to identify, measure, classify, and report such information
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities with quality and within a short timeline.
Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment
Effective interpersonal/communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
Effective time management skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Bachelorï¿½s degree required. (Preference for Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Administration)
Minimum of 3-6 yearsï¿½ experience in accounting, Information Technology and/or internal auditing/internal controls
Experience in IT audits, SOC audits and data analysis is required
A CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE, CISSP or other relevant certification is preferred
Experience in the healthcare industry preferred but not required
Experience with one or more of the following areas preferred, but not required: SOX testing, healthcare industry, or public accounting.
