Responsible for management of research projects including protocol development and implementation, regulatory submissions and adherence, project planning, project tracking and reporting, team management, monitoring of study finances, data collection and quality, and assisting in the creation of final reports and publications. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with the development and management of new projects.
Job Duties
Works with principal investigator and research team to implement research studies.
Monitors study budgets.
Assists in developing study budgets for noncomplex studies with minimal supervision.
Ensures adherence to federal or other regulatory requirements and assists with self-audits of studies for regulatory compliance.
Develops, implements and manages protocols.
Responsible for implementation of a project plan and for overall project management including mentoring and management of the study team, progress tracking and reporting, quality control, recruitment and research support staff training and management.
Manages all research project-related activities to meet project goals and milestones, based on study design.
Communicates resource needs, issues, project status and milestones met to project team, research investigators and key stakeholders.
Handles sensitive project issues and provides resolution.
Develops and delivers study specific material.
Hires, trains and supervises project staff.
Prepares data dictionaries and coordinates with the data management, data security, and implementing of quality control procedures with the data team.
Works with the research investigator to manage grant applications and contract requests.
Provides pre and post award study management.
Under guidance from the research staff, contributes to preparation of research proposals, final reports, and study manuscripts for publication.
